Each year thousands of Scouts participate in international camps organised at local level. Some camps have a high proportion of international participation. However, some only attract a small number of overseas participants, which makes it more difficult to justify calling the camps international particularly if there are few international activities in the programme.
In August our section took part in a very successful camping trip.

Once again Scouts and leaders from all sections are invited to our annual Winter Camp Weekend packed full of both indoor and outdoor activities. Once again we will be visiting the Avondale Leisure Centre on the Saturday evening for swimming etc., so make sure your Scouts bring their swimming togs and indoor trainers with them.
Requirements
• All campers to bring their own food and cooking equipment
• Wood fires are permitted, but please also use other cooking arrangements
• At least one Adult Leader per Troop to camp with Scouts and to assist with activities
• Assistance with transport to the Sports Centre on the Saturday evening will be required – fuel cost to be reimbursed
Cost per Scout: £8.25 inclusive of all activities, camp fees, badge, hot drinks and filling of hot water bottles!! To take part please contact
your scout leaders and a deposit of £3 per scout must be given in NO LATER THAN Saturday 14th January, 2006. | |
